I'll be honest — I was originally skeptical about AI in outbound at first. The last thing we wanted was another buzzword tool that promised shortcuts but didn’t actually move the needle. Outbound is hard. It always has been. And in our experience, scaling it usually meant one thing: adding more people.
But a while back, we started running small experiments. Nothing fancy, just testing whether AI could take friction out of the process for our team. The first time it clicked was when one of our SDRs, who used to spend 20–30 minutes researching a prospect before hitting “send,” had a strong, personalized opener generated in under a minute. Same quality, less grind. That was a lightbulb moment for us.
From there, we leaned in.
The biggest surprise wasn’t just the efficiency gains (though those were real). It was how much more confident the team felt. Outbound can be a grind, and when reps feel like they’re wasting time, morale dips fast. AI flipped that. We were getting to more conversations, earlier, and with better insights. Suddenly, outbound felt less like cold knocking and more like showing up prepared.
We don’t see AI as replacing sellers. Far from it. What we’ve seen is that it amplifies them, giving each rep leverage to do more of the high-value work they were hired for: building relationships and driving deals forward.
Outbound will only keep getting harder. Buyers are smarter, and inboxes are louder. But we’re convinced of this: the teams that figure out how to blend human skill with AI leverage will win.
And we’re glad we got started early.
